FROM FIRST CAST TO FINAL LANDING
The Northern Fishing Company offers far more than traditional fly fishing tuition. Alongside our shop and mobile show trailer, we provide beginner-friendly lessons and courses, guided experiences for intermediate and experienced anglers, corporate and group days, and hosted fishing trips in the UK and abroad.
Whether you are picking up a fly rod for the first time, improving your casting, or targeting salmon, trout, and grayling on some of Yorkshire’s finest waters, our team of passionate instructors and guides is here to help. Our aim is to build your confidence, improve your understanding, and help you become a more capable angler every time you fish. Above all, we want to inspire and share the passion for angling that we all enjoy.

The Fishing School was established in 2019, and in 2026 our brand grew from The Northern Fishing School into The Northern Fishing Company - a name that better reflects the umbrella of services we offer today.
The detail we're proudest of sits in the "C." We wanted the logo to carry something distinctly North Yorkshire, so rather than a generic fish or rod, we chose a North Country Spider - the classic soft-hackle wet fly pattern that originated in the rivers and dales of Northern England.
